This family room space screams sophistication with the clean design and transitional look. The new 65” TV is now camouflaged behind the vertically installed black shiplap. New curtains and window shades soften the new space. Wall molding accents with wallpaper inside make for a subtle focal point. We also added a new ceiling molding feature for architectural details that will make most look up while lounging on the twin sofas. The kitchen was also not left out with the new backsplash, pendant / recessed lighting, as well as other new inclusions.

Luxurious fabrics, silk drapery, velvet club chairs, antiques and a dramatic colored crystal chandelier give this couple's formal living room the warmth it exudes.

This living room update in Albuquerque, New Mexico was completed over 5 weeks in 2019 and included new paint, furnishings, ceiling fan, light fixtures, window blinds, ledger rock fireplace surround and some accessories. The inspiration for the rooms color palette and and design came from client's collection of antique Mexican woven rugs and various curiosities collected from travels.

The Interior Edge
This picture looking the opposite direction in the same room as the first picture in this ideabook. We took out two walls that kept the kitchen separate from the living room and foyer. To visually and sensory delineate that space from the living/dining room we dropped the ceiling, added a dome and placed down lighting in it. The dome is a 36" circle with a silver leaf faux finish. The accent lighting along the front edge adds a wonderful light source for the entire space. The walls of the foyer are a hand done finish by Bill Riley (rileycreative1@mac.com) . The kitchen counter and back splash granite as costa semerelda. The chairs are custom made (Sewfine Upholstery, Middletown, Ct.) with a Clarence House mohair fabric. The pillow is an Osborne and Little fabric. The tables are Decorative Crafts.
Iliana Moore Interiors / Columbine Antiques
The guests' sitting room is furnished in the Arts and Crafts style with a motto - "Live, Laugh, Love" - carved into the fireplace surround. An antique oak settee and small table, wrought iron floor lamps and antique metalware, with a new flatwoven rug in a traditional pattern, complete the effect.
