on the paint you use. Since paneling is very dark, you usually need to prime it before you paint the top coats. However, there are many new paints on the market that are primers and top coats in one. Usually these are more expensive. My honest recommendation would be to go to a good paint store with a
question. The blue in these curtains is very vivid which pairs well with the grey. I would recommend a softer blue to pair with the chocolate brown sofa.

actually painted when the client's purchased the house but we sent it out to be stripped back to it's original condition which is what you see here. The wall color is a soft gray so it does blend pretty well with the natural marble fireplace surround.
