The brief for this room was for a neutral palette that would retain a sense of warmth and luxury. This was achieved with the use of various shades of grey, accented with fuchsia. The walls are painted an ethereal shade of pale grey, which is contrasted beautifully by the dark grey Venetian polished plaster finish on the chimney breast, which itself is highlighted with a subtle scattering of mica flecks. The floor to ceiling mirrored walls enhance the light from the full height wall of bifolding doors. The large L shaped sofa is upholstered in dark grey wool, which is balanced by bespoke cushions and throw in fuchsia pink wool and lush grey velvet. The armchairs are upholstered in a dark grey velvet which has metallic detailing, echoing the effect of the mica against the dark grey chimney breast finish. The bespoke lampshades pick up the pink accents which are a stunning foil to the distressed silver finish of the lamp bases. The metallic ceramic floor tiles also lend a light reflective quality, enhancing the feeling of light and space. The large abstract painting was commissioned with a brief to continue the grey and fuchsia scheme, and is flanked by a pair of heavily distressed steel wall lights. The dramatic full length curtains are of luscious black velvet. The various accessories and finishes create a wonderful balance of femininity and masculinity.

Le client souhaitait créer un habitat indépendant pour les membres de sa famille pendant les séjours de vacances d’été pour cette maison de bord de mer. L’extension a donc été créée sans mur commun, reliée seulement par un chemin abrité afin d’apporter autonomie et intimité à ses occupants. Le garage de cette maison permettra également de ranger du matériel de planchiste. La construction a été réalisée avec le procédé Biplan, mur composé de deux parois ITE dans laquelle on coule le béton, le projet est donc en isolation extérieure reprenant la volumétrie de la maison existante. Cela a permis une rapidité d’exécution et un résultat thermique performant. La maison se compose d’une pièce à vivre de 35m², de 2 chambres et d’une salle d’eau. Armand Sarlangue

This Bellevue home was a delight to work on. The clients loved clean and simple lines and wanted a sophisticated yet comfortable look for their new home. We achieved that throughout the design and brought in punches of color through the artwork and the the accessories. These clients loved blues and greens so we carried those colors throughout the four rooms we designed for them and gave them a cohesive look throughout their home. When our client came to us, she was stumped with how to turn her small living room into a cozy, useable family room. The living room and dining room blended together in a long and skinny open concept floor plan. It was difficult for our client to find furniture that fit the space well. It also left an awkward space between the living and dining areas that she didn’t know what to do with. She also needed help reimagining her office, which is situated right off the entry. She needed an eye-catching yet functional space to work from home. In the living room, we reimagined the fireplace surround and added built-ins so she and her family could store their large record collection, games, and books. We did a custom sofa to ensure it fits the space and maximized the seating. We added texture and pattern through accessories and balanced the sofa with two warm leather chairs. We updated the dining room furniture and added a little seating area to help connect the spaces. Now there is a permanent home for their record player and a cozy spot to curl up in when listening to music. For the office, we decided to add a pop of color, so it contrasted well with the neutral living space. The office also needed built-ins for our client’s large cookbook collection and a desk where she and her sons could rotate between work, homework, and computer games. We decided to add a bench seat to maximize space below the window and a lounge chair for additional seating. --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. A bright & spacious contemporary home. We opted for light neutrals, rich natural elements, and intriguing prints, which are found throughout the interior. From artwork to large foliage to bold textiles, each and every room showcases a unique personality - without looking or feeling cluttered. New game room is a sophisticated man cave with Caldera split face stone wall, high Fleetwood windows, Italian pool table and Heppner Hardwoods engineered white oak floor. The existing fireplace was re-purposed with new distressed steel surround salvaged from old rusted piers.
