What kind of wood are the floors?
Does anyone have any ideas about how to incorporate this corner 2 sided fireplace in a traditional style room. Our home is a contemporary colonial style on the exterior and interior, lots of crown molding, wainscoting etc, but love this type of corner fireplace...any
We have a similar fireplace in a traditional home and just had ledgestone installed from floor to ceiling. It gives a modern look but keeps it cozy at the same time!
You maybe could just clad the entire thing in a flat stone or rich dark wood, depending on the historical feel of your house. If it's relatively new, I think you could get away with either if done properly.
