Is the the fireplace an incert?
I have a regular fireplace and it really doesn't do very well as a heat source.
To bmcmahon, Did you originally have a wood or gas fireplace?
This is something that came with the house. i would need to ask my client about it.
Love how cozy the fireplace makes the room feel.

Where can I get this fireplace? Does it come in a smaller scale?
Who is the manufacturer of the fireplace? I'd like to get one.
This Montigo gas fireplace does not require a hearth.
That may be a Town & Country Luxury Gas Fireplace. I don't believe those normally require a hearth, but I agree with others about checking local codes just to be on the safe side.
Confirmed that I like rectangular fireplaces
Love the fireplace and the brick wall.
Wonderful room on so many levels for the custom brick fireplace wall, French doors, light hardwood, and contemporary blend of furniture
fireplace contemporary but warm with the stone
fireplace tile - rustic and modern

Wondering height of mantle? Like look of tv over the fireplace.
Would like to mount my tv over fireplace. Redoing the fireplace and mantle from scratch. Like the dimensions you have here. Looks wonderful and seems to be very functional use
Can you give me any idea what cost the built-in shelving (without fireplace) added?
42" to 48" but your fireplace will dictate this. You won't want the tv too high or you will get a sore neck looking up at it.
what is the width of the bookshelevs/fireplace?
that's what our house is going to look like

Does the heat from the fireplace effect the T.V.? We have a similar set up, with a fireplace and a space above that my husband wanted to use for a T.V., but we were hesitant because of the possible effect the heat from the fireplace might have on the T.V.
generated by the fireplace, which varies widely with the type of fireplace (unvented gas fireplaces being the worst-case scenario). More than likely, the manual for your television will say somewhere "do not install near sources of heat", so if you choose to install a TV above the fireplace, it would most
design/builder, We always recommend a TV to the side of a fireplace rather than over the top. It is more comfortable for your eye to look level or even down at a TV rather than up. Aesthetically, it also is more eye-pleasing to have the fireplace as a focal point and not diminished by a massive TV above

Love the fireplace! What brand is the fireplace?
The fire place is a Heatilator, Birmingham 50. This fireplace can burn either gas or wood.] in this case the fireplace was fitted for gas. The contractor, RGN Construction, bought the fireplace at Fireside of Washington in Seattle, Wa. Hope this helps. Dan
Love this fireplace surround. Any close up of how it is affixed to the wall?

Steel fireplace surround. We could do this behind the fireplace now.
