I'm having a hard time finding decent hooks and cords for our artwork. The picture rail has been painted so many times it's also hard to get a good fit. The ones pictured seem pretty heavy duty. Thanks!
picture rail set down from the ceiling. The wall above the picture rail is painted the ceiling color (white). You can go to your local millwork supplier and buy stain grade picture rail.

inside mounted blinds don't come in the way when using the door? How tall are your doors?
inside mount because fully opened they are 17.5 inches long, (my preference is inside mount) or doing outside mount above the windows which means we will not see the new window molding we just did when they are closed. I'm truly surprised those are my only options. We love the twin shade from Horizon
can also mount the treatment above the door if you have ceiling height - as another option.

The railing is so cool.... I could do this at the cottage on the deck
of the railings we see around the country consist of some type of wood handrail with wood balusters (either painted or not). Why not take it to the next level and incorporate real wood into the design? Here branch balusters and a rough hewn handrail work perfectly in the rustic design of this space.

inside mount which I want, when they are completely pulled up (at least on our big window) they will fall 17.5 inches, that's A LOT of view blocking.
With a shade like you have here, is there a way to only lose 8-10 inches of window? Can I pull this off with inside mount with another company?
