explanatory really...a second residence kept purely for holidaying in ..usually on the coast or a rural retreat. Smaller than usual home and the kids all bunk in together quite often as u have extras, but in main residence each child has own room for privacy,study and possessions. Do u do same in U.S
This space is approximately 13' x 26' overall (the photo is being taken from a niche area at the far end) and the bunk beds fit an extra long twin mattress. We gave about 3" - 4" on all sides of the mattress.

it can be a couch but can clearly morph into a bed. Love it
Window seat doubles as bed. Could modify for couch-bed.
Built-ins, like this bed, take up a smaller footprint than freestanding pieces of furniture. And because the furniture is part of the surrounding architecture, it takes up less visual space as well. Plus, you can get the benefit of extra storage.

Yes, this is a real home. This is actually the pool house, a place for the homeowners 6 kids to hang out in, and is extension of the main home.

What a fun and functional space for teenagers. It's a lucky bunch of kids who get to hang in this beachy guesthouse, which includes a kitchenette, a loft space and sofas for lounging. All colors are ocean blue, green and white
stairways eat up more space, but if it makes you feel more comfortable, it could be worth it. On the other hand, if you are creating a sleeping loft for kids or don't mind using a ladder yourself, a space-saving ladder can be a real blessing!
