laid in sand, good idea in Texas?
we live in the Dallas Texas area, weather can be extremely hot in the summer, above 100 to 110 sometimes; winters are mild but can get icy and sometimes light snow. I love the idea of brick laid in sand, but is it a good idea/investment for a back yard patio? I really
laid in sand is one of our favorite looks. It's very clean and holds up extremely well over time.

Do I sand to the bare drywall and paint or (which I am fine with), sand it most of the way and then apply a coat of joint compound like a smooth plaster completely over the walls and paint? I feel the latter would have a higher quality appearance. Also, is it difficult to replace the sharp corner beads
bead and sanded smooth. In many traditional plaster applications, a rounded piece of wood trim was placed at the corners and then plastered over, creating a round corner. To mimic this look with drywall, look for a bullnose corner bead.
