create the rain fall effect on the walls. Looks like maybe gold, brown, rust? Love the look and would like to try on our bathroom in Texas. Is this venetian plaster a special style I could look up online? Thanks

you have to understand is that texture plays a huge role in the design of the Tuscan home. Most importantly, you want textured walls, such as the Venetian plaster walls that are seen here.

Can one use Venetian plaster technique on the outside of a house?
Many products are called Venetian Plaster these days. If you are using a true European lime plaster you can do an exterior like this. The biggest difference with a plaster like this is the aggregate used. The Calce (lime milk) is the thinest. "Venetian" is like smooth creamy putty. Once you
some small aggregate. Depending on the distributor, they will have at least one or two plasters with progressively larger aggregate. You can get a Venetian finish with Marmorino and you can use it indoors or out. I would probably lay down a base coat of the heavier plaster then follow it with the Marmorino
