Pool Makeover by Shirley Bovshow of EdenMakersBlog.com
Garden makeovers by Shirley Bovshow in Los Angeles. Glowing ornamental grasses and other low water plants enhance the natural style gardens surrounding this pool makeover expertly crafted by Southern California Landscape. Why start from scratch if you can "recreate" a pool scape that you will love
and would like to know where to purchase pink feathery grasses used?
What type of ornamental grass is this? Will it grow in shade?
Species name and zone for the pink Pampas grass? Annual? Perennial?
what are the pink flowering grasses called?
I wish I wasn't zone 5, that grass is gorgeous!
@Micromaverick- Not sure what your gardening zone is but muhly grass is evergreen in zones 6-9.
I assume you are asking about the plant in the bottom left corner? That is Salvia leucantha (Mexican sage). The pink ornamental grass is "Pink muhly" grass or Muhlenbergia capillaries

Dwarf mondo grass as an alternative to grass
Mondo Grass(Ophiopogon japonicus)Adapted to zones 5 to 9, this evergreen ground cover is a perfect way to achieve a no-grass lawn. Opt for regular mondo grass, which grows up to 6 inches tall, or choose dwarf mondo grass, just 2 inches tall, and never mow again. If you choose regular mondo grass, mow
mow it annually in late winter to keep it filled in and healthy. Native to Asia, mondo grass is adapted to a number of regions throughout the United States, and is surprisingly good at handling foot traffic.Growing tips: Plant plugs 6 inches apart in spring or fall to encourage a quick fill-in, and lightly

In Hallmarrk Interiors photo of grass and slate tiles, how are they installed ? Is the grass real?
How many inches are needed for the grass?
Is the grass between the tiles real?
I'm sure you can use pavers. Pattern layout first then grass.
What is the process for installing artificial grass BETWEEN pavers? Do you do the grass first or the pavers?
Yes - This is artificial grass.
are a smooth stucco in a sand finish. The yard - is all cement the tiles are a quartzite with faux grass inserted.
The grass is fake so no staining!
Presently FieldTurf leads the artificial grass industry in manufacturing excellence and product innovation. EasyTurf, the landscape arm of FieldTurf
drains faster and cleaner than any other turf backing, standing toe to toe with the best permeable paver technology. (video here ...) Other artificial grass brands either have holes punched into the back for drainage or have to come to complete saturation before draining, absorbing bacteria, allergens, urine

outdoor art, metal sculptures, life-size horses
4. Sculpture. Adding art in the garden is another way to ensure there will be solid interest in the garden when the perennials have disappeered under the earth and flowers are a long-lost vision.
Perched alongside a pair of playful metal horse sculptures, wagon wheels give this
These stunning horse sculptures would be an amazing addition to a cowgirl's garden. You may not want something quite that big, though. The smaller wagon wheels are another option to consider.
Statuary or garden sculpture always adds interest and whimsy any time of the year. What do you love about your winter garden?

does this grass betwwen the pavers need mowing
1. Turf grass. Using grass always a good option, particularly if it's already incorporated into your landscape. Plant the grass seed or sod after your pavers are installed.
This pool area features stone pavers repeated in a grid. Pavers set amongst grass may be a common technique, but it is an effective
