2011 Dream Room Winner On the windows we used cornice boards covered in a damask patterned fabric and attached honey-colored silk drapery panels inspired by grand European pillars. These treatments were ideal for framing the picturesque outside view. We selected a luxurious, golden-colored sofa with
how are the cornice boards holding the panels. Is there a built in rod? What size cornices should I use for a 6" wide space in between 3 54" casement windows so it overlaps
Hi how wid are the cornice boards and how wide is the pleated drapery panels?
The curtains do not move. They are stationary decorative panels attached to cornices.
Panels are stapled to the cornice board, no built in rod. Cornices were notched to accommodate the window casing and overhang the 6" space between the windows. The dimensions of the cornices are 15 x 15 (outers)

accent, but it is not built in. The arches on the left of the family room open to a gallery space, which has arches running perpendicular to the wood paneled arches, but the artwork has no niches around them. Hope that answers your question!
tried samples of them on the floor to figure out the right color- I doubt the final mixture was something you could buy off the shelf. Most of the paneling is knotty alder, and there are accents of walnut at certain places in the flooring.
can tell you that we did have the wall framed at a 1'-0" thickness, so the depth of the openings is 1'-0" deep, which was enough o allow for small "panels" to be trimmed into the arches.

help you can give on windows. are there close up pictures? our windows are brown frame. debating on brown or white wood, and brown or white base boards. Like your using both.
I would not use white painted wood windows if this is the look you are going after. Base boards could go either way, depending on the floors.
