I live in a pretty typical and boring 1960s split-level home. Although I don’t have a photo of the space, I am renovating and wondering how to create a better flow and connection between rooms and levels? Any suggestions?
to agree with Mint and Smith. I've seen such a paint split on rounded corners. Even done really well, it's not ideal. There are a lot of ways to bring color in to make a space feel different, like art, rugs, textiles.
I really like split level homes. The separations are terrific and there's so much
much you can do with them. The photo is of a typical split where we removed all of the walls on the main level to open it up. As bepsf says, hire a good local architect to help you with this.

I plan on adding a 9 Degree ramp in front of th 36" railing from our basement which will be level at the end meeting the lower level and than turning the corner and building a second ramp up to the upper level. I have to worry about shoveling snow so this will help cleaning all the decks with elect. snow
