Hello Vanessa, Thank you for your question. This staircase was constructed by curving and laminating white oak for the side stringers and center support - no metal was used for support. A structure was built to shape the stringers - I will attach some construction
The staircase was constructed of reclaimed oak by Further Functional Wood Art. The treads are wrapped in a patterned carpet by Fabrica. The railing panels are forged iron by Bezdan; and the handrails

The staircase was built of reclaimed wood. I believe it was an oak or some similar hard wood. That is dry stacked stone on the walls of the rotunda. Not sure what kind they used though!!
