prefer the lights on the circular ceiling fixture to be one color each, not two-tone.
this might be where the old guy got the idea for different
creative with the fence design. Go tall but leave some negative space at the top for visual interest.
Usually this would be too many colors and ideas in one space for me. But I love it! Maybe the spaciousness just gives it all enough

should be the feeling when looking from island to the den. Open, one theme of Spanish Revival, ONE SPACE tied together via colors and woodwork. Love the lighting echoed in both rooms.
The mediterranean style is a combination of Spanish and Italian influences. I personally prefer leaning towards the Italian

Minus the island, these walls and the ceiling look authentically Tuscan.

What kind and name is the tile in the shower.
This works, but I would arch the entry to the shower, skip the tub and bring into the vanity the tile work.

What are the shrubs planted around the trees?
Found the plant list! These trees are Cercis occidentalis. Project is located in Carmel Valley CA.
I can't put my hands on the planting plan right now. But Sunset has a great small/patio tree list in their books.

Hi Manvendra, the landscaping was provided by James H Cowan & Assoc.
The Tree in the front is Schefflera actinophylla (Octopus Tree). The Palm Trees are Archontophoenix alexandrae (Alexander Palm or King Palm)
