What are the best woods or flooring to use over radiant flooring? Solid wood vs. engineered, tile, carpeting in bedrooms? We have recently gutted a ranch that will be entirely heated under floor.
Wood is not a problem when properly installed although tile conducts heat better. :) Rhoda

The bathroom and entry of this house below are over radiant heat: http://www.houzz.com/photos/60037/small-guest-bathroom-design-by-Bay-Area-building-contractor-traditional-bathroom-san-francisco http://www.houzz.
radiant heat throughout their home, a system that saves energy and increases quality of life. Just imagine stepping onto warm floors in winter! Aside from the benefits, a system like this makes a lot of sense to do sooner rather than later — it would be a major hassle to install underfloor heating once

I have watched the mosture membrane install vidio for a wet room. Where would you install a cable heat system, under the membrane or over.

My clients did not complain about splashing. Heated floor would quickly dry the floor if there were some.
Warmup, in your opinion is your floor heating able to warm the whole body (not just the feet) while showering in a partially open area like this? I don't mind using the heater on the vent fan
pipes in. we are building my husband and myself a small sudio flat ,so since it is a new build we can't put an electric water heater. we have to get a heat pump and the water lines put in. yes I get help from DSA/DSQ as I live in Qld. plumbing is the only thing holding us up.$$$$$$. but we will get there

inches high. While that height can be great for smaller children, it really doesn’t work for adults. The standard now is 36 inches, which is comfortable for most adults. If a 36-inch vanity is too high for you, and you don’t want to invest in a custom vanity, consider a floating one. These can be placed
that you don't have to get in the shower to turn it on and endure the first cold water. maybe ok if you just turn the shower head towards the wall to heat up.

heathceramics.com/home/pages/tile-build. the owner picked the tile so I’m unsure of the color but Heath Ceramics believes the color is their 3x9 tile in G36.2 New Crystal Blue. Hope that helps!
