I like the clean lines of the fireplace (black steel and glass). I have almost the same surround (1950's, white painted brick) but open wood burning. I would like to retain the look, but update to a high efficiency wood burning insert or similar. Is that a gas or wood unit
I really like the paneling. Is that refurbished old material or something newly installed?

3. Modern take on Mid-century designThe dark tones of the panelled walls and flooring of this cosy bedroom are cleverly counterpointed by a pristine Eames chair and snow-white linen. There is a distinct ‘60s influence to this room typified by the low-hanging pendant light, sleek timber
books, the day’s clothing and other loose objects.

me the wood and wood treatment you've used on the ceiling and wall here...?
i really love your project - such an amazing combination of light/contemporary/clean and warm/organic/crafted. i'm wondering if you can share the wood and wood treatment that you selected for the ceiling and paneling? we
we are currently choosing ceiling wood for our bedroom. our architect has recommended cedar, which i've thought of pickling. this looks like the balance between airy and warm that i've been seeking - and i'd love to know what it is! thanks so much!! :) NG
I've been looking into alternative to wood flooring. And this flooring looks great. What is it? Thanks.

over the dining room (background in photo). Fir wall panels and wood and camel tones warm up the white rooms. New double-pane glass windows, recycled denim insulation and radiant heat greatly improved the comfort of the house.
Sleek and modern. Wood accent walls can look sleek and modern, not rustic
great choice for a modern accent wall, especially applied vertically. Notice the modern neutral palette of solids and textures. No need for art; the wood accent wall is the star.

The use of green and white against the wood paneling. It lightens the room without covering the wood.
Paneling light this on one side of the fireplace. Wrap it around to the adjoining wall, with a black cut-out on the non-fireplace wall for an art piece... just like this.
Wood beams and natural wood walls
The living room is a soothing space done in organic colors and forms. Charles and architect Ian Moller used a rich cedar wood paneling for the interior. The color is soft, and almost glows in the abundance of the home's natural light. DeLisle chose functional and sturdy pieces for this room, including

What type of wood did you use?
Curious why type of wood and how it was secured to the wall?
Since no one has answered, I'm going to venture an educated guess. Either way, this is a wood burning fireplace, with or without gas logs, but since I only see a fireplace grate and no piping, I'm going to say those aren't gas logs.
