What type of brick is used for the fireplace wall and hearth?
#1 simple wood surround, slabs of stone (or large tile),imagine this without the wall of brick behind
Like the off center and the straight lines instead of staggered brick
Concrete brick and wood is a really cool, modern look
masculine brick striped in perfect symmetry
Tall, dark and handsome. This tall fireplace with its dark standard-brick-pattern focal wall appears very masculine. Add a perfect dark wood mantel to complement any bachelor pad. Tip: A grand fireplace surround like this

Was the Brick on the wall Dry brush painted? How did you create that effect? I have a whole wall of Red Brick in my Grey and white kitchen and need it changed! Thanks:)
Are brick walls good insulators? Behind the walls ... Was "blown" insulation used?
Snobuny224: I too have a dark brick FPL with dark grout.mine is round and looks 80 ish. I'm so happy you posted your before and after. Husband is not so happy. I think he'll come around
We like the bricks looking imperfect. Don't like anything else in the room, but we like the brick
love the color of this exposed brick for the wine room or any room

I like the clean lines of the fireplace (black steel and glass). I have almost the same surround (1950's, white painted brick) but open wood burning. I would like to retain the look, but update to a high efficiency wood burning insert or similar. Is that a gas or wood unit
Mike and Jean, We ended up just using the existing firebox (painted brick) and installing Portland Willamette doors with a realfyre gas burner, with Star Fyre glass and a remote ignition. Thank you, Caitlin Carr
Full wall brick, no mantle, complimentary wood paneling
Here's the only example I could find of white brick meeting a solid white bench.
Brick fireplace painted white, wood paneling remains the same.

little kids and pets from wandering inside the firebox. The screen may be functional, but it can be showstopper as well. There are a lot of choices out there; look for one that complements the rest of the room. Also, your screen should be larger than the firebox itself. This can be a challenge because most

trim looking stuff on the edge of the fireplace tile, and what did you put right below that above the white painted brick? It looks like brick or some sort of tile that looks like brick? Thanks for any help!
I was wondering is there a tile or some type of material that you could add to give you a brick wall effect like this?
Thank you for your question! A flat white paint was used on the brick and the firebox is the color from the manufacturer. If you are not working with a designer, we would also be glad to provide you with a consulation if that
Thank you for your question! I would suggest a brick veneer. If you are not working with a designer, we would also be glad to provide you with a consulation if that would be valuable. We want your space
