master bath is on the right. The existing house had the same footprint, but all the spaces were stripped down to the studs, the floor plan was re-worked, the exterior siding and windows are all new, the interior finishes are all new, and so on. So, it was became a new house in the end.
Just lovely. Love all that glass (is it self-cleaning?)

are the posts, headers and cross beams on the pergola? Also, there appears to be some additional detail between some joists but not all. Do you have any other pictures that shows that detail better?
I would love to see the transformation from the before pictures.

This house is soooo beautiful, but that front bedroom is wide open with no privacy at all. I don't really do curtains in my house, but surely on a regular basis (when the photo shoot isn't happening) there are some kind of window covering

It seems to be some kind of glossy material, that is unless this picture was taken during or after a bout of rain.
This home looks like the beginnings of MetroHouse. The owner designed them, built them, did all the special details, and does all the landscaping. He normally labels all his homes (in the front) with a plaque that says MetroHouse and the year built.
Wow! I posted a comment well over a year ago, and folks are still responding to it. You have all made very valid points about diversity in design and architecture. I, myself, live in an eclectic beach community and love it. I should not have been

What do you call this kind of roof line with all glass windows...
Is this architectur considered to be an A-Frame, if not, how would you define this pitched roof with all glass, high ceilings?
Exterior colors - The under eaves color to be painted a different color - not as drastic as this picture. But definitely a contrast.
