Wild Basin exterior
I've been trying to get ideas to add height to a patio. It's difficult with a low roof line.
There is a gutter at the back of the patio roof, with downspouts (visible on either side of the sliding door) that connect to pipes that carry the water under the patio and out into the yard, some distance away.

Mid century House
Maggie Cole Architectural Photography. The addition of the Privacy wall at the left of the new French doors provides a very tranquil retreat for the new patio area. The geometry is strong, here rectilinear shapes are seen in the openings at the top of the wall and in the muntins of the French doors, tying
to organize patio off our bedroom.
Mid-century style patio furniture, small deck with clean patio beside, and a few planters. I also like the modern lighting.

Small patio area with deck off door and stone patio
A small deck not only provides a transition between the architecture and the yard or patio, but it allows for amphitheater-style seating.

Stone fireplace with landscaping wall creates patio area
I love this outdoor fireplace and the Devonian blue stone patio
Bring the inside outTransport the cosy mood of a living room to your patio to create a leafy relaxing zone. Lounge chairs, pouffes and cushions form a comfortable seating area, while an outdoor fireplace or simple fire pit will give cooler days a warm glow.
