View of my living room with selig lounge, custom Flor rug, DIY coffee table, and marimekko fabric art.
I just bought a new rug for my living space
When I saw this photo I felt better about putting a smaller rug in a larger space with none of the furniture on it. Looks great! Is there a "rule of thumb" on size of rug vs. room?
what are the dimensions of your room?
Another option is TVCoverUps. Framed Art(including your own) or Mirror adds to the room's decor, with the hidden TV and Entertainment Consoles beneath. See how EASY it really is : http://youtu
Thanks! I tend to think there are no "rules" and just go with my gut. (Professionals might say otherwise, ha ha) For this room, I have so much going on already, I thought that a larger rug might be overwhelming, plus this one was cheaper since I could buy fewer Flor tiles.

Michael, Best wishes on your project! I recommend opening up as much space as you can. Instead of having a transom above your door like this room, you could make you doors go all the way up as long as you have the support. You may also be interested in this ideabook- http://www.houzz.com/id
