It is not uncommon for stained concrete floors to have a gloss or semi-gloss finish. Just depends on final sealer top coat
We had our floors stained and love it. It's no colder then ceramic tile. We do have and area area rug in front of the sofa and a runner when you first come into the house. I mop it with mop and glow and it looks really nice. My understanding is that the stain lasts for several years. I

what type of floors are these?
This is a hardwood floor. It may be original to when the building was built [circa 1850], or at least it's very old, which is why it has the roughness and patina you see in the photo.
color of the floor and the carpet, great
I like this floor but may be too dark for our living room

Earthy hues, the natural rug, handsome wood floors and lush greenery work together to give a loft space an ethnic appeal. High ceilings make room for tall trees and results in greater indoor air quality, too. Next: Tour a Warm and Seductive Loft in Milan Soho Loft Shows the Warm Side of Modern
remember to look at your arrangement from upstairs too. You may be pleased to find an entirely different and equally beautiful look from that upper floor perspective.

what floor is it?is it white oak?
I think you are on point with your assesment. White Oak is preferred for dark stains.

Here's another fantastic wall of windows but with dark, almost black wood floors and a mixture of gray and white hues as the predominant colors. This living room is the epitome of cool, clean and modern. The small bits of red give just the right amount of pep and life.

What is the hard wood floors?
Could someone please advise what kind of wood is that on the floor?
It looks like a red oak flooring with glossy finish.
Red or White Oak site finished with a medium gloss would be my guess :-)
Neat floor...might look nice with one of those fireplaces in the middle of a room you can walk around or a fireplace that was between two adjoining rooms
