the roller shades? I am looking for something similar (I have 7 windows that are 115" by 115" in my living room that I need to cover for privacy and light control) but am unsure how the larger shades will hold up.

when we bought it. They are probably from the 50's or the 60's. They have been covered with carpet for years. We cleaned them and stained them with a light pine color and varnished them several times. Because of the age the boards were quite dark already. The stain didn't add that much.
