Coursed cut lime-stone on the exterior of the house continues into the interior in the form of walls and a double-sided fireplace. The fireplace works to screen the dining room from the living room creating an intimate gathering space within the open floor plan. Horizontal curved zinc panels make a
sculptural chim-ney to top off the design.
Loved the stone surround fireplace. Can you please tell me the name of the stone and manufacture? Thanks!!
How tall is it to the top of the limestone section
visually gives idea of more space with narrow top and wider bottom, this photo too wide at the bottom, too much brick etc.
instead of hiding it? stone and surround
Transitional. Show off the charm of a living room with stone and put a metal twist on it. This custom-made flue with horizontal banding perfectly marries traditional and contemporary style. Tip: Place accent chairs on swivels near the fireplace so you can easily turn from conversation to fire.

Do you have the source for the stone wall?
I am going to put stone /faux stone in my living room and love this color - gray/taupe and a touch of carmel! Is it stone veneer or faux? and do you have a source? I have to get the stone before I can get paint colors.

Stone wall covers existing basement retaining wall and wall behind bed separates bed room leaving glass on top and side to let natural light in. Clever!
shelves...below transom window... stone surround behind bed???
Highlighting the large retaining wall instead of fighting it was a key design decision. Stacked-stone tiles cover the wall that continues

Key components such as the rough-stone fireplace are kept intact to retain the original character of the home. Additional design considerations were implemented for sound transmission control
