Questions3
Good idea for balcony in case we need to keep middle frame
like the courtyard in the middle and the sort of walk out deck on the far end, it makes the place feel like it is more outside
the dark wood floor, the different wood walls and the linear wood to walk in from outside
match the floor levels inside and out to encourage better flow, and to replace the sliders with retractable NanaWalls, erasing distinctions between interior and exterior.
Wood slats to keep out debris
level change between the courtyard and the entry didn’t encourage that, so Yama worked with contractor U Unlimited to match the floor levels inside and out to encourage better flow, and to replace the sliders with retractable NanaWalls, erasing distinctions between interior and exterior.

Second floor walk out main house
Design a family room with doors. A walk-out basement or ground-floor family room can be enhanced with accordion or pocket doors, or even a garage door, that can be completely pulled away to blend indoors and out. The immediate connection with the outdoors could help lure kids
I like that this steps down and is at ground level and walks right out to the patio/outdoor living area.
