We built our deck around a beautiful old tree. Then State Farm told us we'd have to cut down the tree or they'd drop our insurance. Fair warning.
Find out what the head office says about that AFTER you get a tree expert to check out the tree to see if it's healty - and also get some other insurance companys
it. My husband and I used to go to a rustic dining lounge that had a huge tree growing right up through the middle of it and out the roof- and it was there
so there was no problem with that.Lots of people have decks going around trees and rocks etc. Ask for the reason - I bet it won't make sence.
Decking to max impact of oak tree...keep the tree and have your deck...Like the tree growing through the deck
