extended their attitude about trim everywhere. Note the base and crown conditions. They make perfect sense in this modern, minimalist space focused on the view. Care must be taken during the Sheetrock finishing stages in projects like this, as this surface will be the final window finish.

How do you frame the Window? Does It open?
Is the Window also white on the outside?

Nice, clean window trim reveal details.
Maybe at top of stairs on 2nd floor, or floor to ceiling window would be nice.

Reveals / Trim A thin shadowed line surrounding
surrounding the window frame describes another contemporary approach to window trim. This one acknowledges the difference between window and wall but ever so subtly. Reveals can be created by using different extruded trims at the edges of the Sheetrock surrounding the window. These trims come in various
Reglet and Trim-tex. The reveal enables one to achieve a planar look to the wall without the added dimension of trim protruding outward. It’s a thoroughly modern aesthetic that quietly showcases the window frame as an opening, without the fussiness and associated stylistic hang-ups of trim. The Sheetrock

Where did you purchase the slim silhouette window trim?
Trim stain? Do you know what color stain was used
My bedroom has a sloped ceiling over the windows ( 8 to 11 feet high ceiling - windows 6 feet wide by 4 ft high). Can't find any way to dress the windows that does not make the rod look as if it's hung on a slant.
you can't just remove the trim as there will be a gap between the window casing the sheetrock.
I'd also be interested in how you achieved this look. I have a '90s townhouse that I am renovating and it has hideous skinny honey oak trim around the windows, but the window casing itself is a lovely high
high quality wood. I'm wondering if I can just remove the trim pieces, leave the casing as is, and achieve a similar look. Thoughts?

Drywall surround enhances the view, without a trim distraction
Black trim on windows on outside of white house.
Window going across the entire kitchen back wall.
drywall return around window? think sea ranch
the goal is to call attention to the opening itself or the window frame, choosing a drywall return is a no-hassle way to trim your window. This can save on finish carpentry and preserves the planar wall aesthetic without the need for reveal trims. This process is used often in commercial construction; it

window trim but a bit wider
me molding could make these windows feel completely modern, but ending the side trim at a flat crown at the top speaks to both traditional design elements and a modern aesthetic. Further balancing traditional and contemporary are the divided-light French casement windows. Single large panes would have

I too am curious to know siding and trim colors. I recently purchased a 20 year old house with grey decking, bronze windows and cedar soffits. Current siding color is dreary - I would love to update the exterior colour to something
all this shows is the light and dark blue/grey colors i like and colored windows....imagine this house a little less modern with some stone or brick....bam

if there was a frosted window this size between flights, might be nice?
having a well placed internal window which shows the view of the city and/or ESB. I like this idea of a clean entryway with a simple window.
installing such a window really makes an impact on this landing. I think I'd plop down on that window seat and forget why I was ever going up or down the stairs.
