Its about the view. The best windows become invisible due to what is on the other side.
Talk about destinations. Thank goodness for the window seat in this Northern California ridge home to keep us all from wanting to walk right through the glass.
doubt about that, but without that little window seat, you might just brush past the window on this stair landing without stopping for a moment to take it all in. And how wasteful would that be? Simple, clean and modern, this unobtrusive detail is soft enough to make you want to stay a while.
Talk about a focal point! This may not be a large room, but installing such a window really makes an impact on this landing. I think I'd plop down on that window seat and forget why I was ever going up or down the stairs.
