What are the floors made from?
So this floor was poured and then polished, correct? Deep enough to expose the aggregate. Did you add color? How is it so light in appearance? Does concrete get lighter, the deeper you polish? It's beautiful, btw. :-)

What type of timber has been used for the floors?
Thanks for your question. The timber flooring is recycled Grey Ironbark, a very dense timber native to Australia. The timber was sourced from an old bridge in Queensland that was disassembled then re-milled into floorboards.

The floor is Brazilian black slate natural cleft which is very dense and does not flake.
My guess is a slate floor and cedar or teak walls, I'm going to go check the interview and see if they told us...

What is the name of the tile on the mud room floor?
interest. The floor tile is natural slate. We got 16x16 square tiles and cut them into 3 rectangles. The color is Brazil Grey S201 from DalTile http://products.daltile.com/seriesdetailStone.cfm?item=3021&series=110&item=3021&log=4&subType=1.
