involved a complete overhaul of a very traditional three storey home in midtown Toronto. The owners asked for a radical transformation that would leave them, and visitors, in awe from the moment they stepped inside. Their mandate: modern, white, a bit of whimsy, and lots of storage.

The coffee table was purchased at Shelter, a furniture store in Toronto. I believe however, that this table has been discontinued. You can always check with the store. I'm not sure of the dimensions, but it's around 22" x 40".

raised a bit is the ability to sit getting in and out.
tub is a perfect way to warm up and get to know your friends really well. You can always just put your feet in if donning a swimsuit sounds more like a punishment than a party. Having a spa near the entrance to the house is convenient for the swimmers as well as for people who choose not to partake

As a reflecting pool, it's magnificent. If the ocean or a meadow is outboard of the falls, it's ideal.

That looks like concrete to me - though it could be a solid surface material like Caesarstone, Silestone or Zodiaq.
If a range hood is necessary
island with a table close enough to indicate "this is where we eat." Placing a table this close to the kitchen keeps anybody sitting at that table part of the action going on in the kitchen.
