depends on the lighting of the space (natural and electrical). For a countertop, like the white countertop shown in the photo shown, a durable less likely to scratch surface may be desired. The surface could be a marble, a limestone or a travertine. This appears to be a prep space which means if it's natural
glare is a concern, consider a matte finish on the white glass. Designer tip: clear glass has a greenish tint to it and the thicker the glass the more green you notice. Consider "Starfire" which is a low-iron glass and looks almost clear. Aloha!
