The wood floors and ceilings are made from ash that was harvested on site. The columns are white oak, salvaged from a fallen old barn in the area, originally worked-on with hand tools.
Adore the rough hewn pillars instead of plain finished ones and I can only guess that the lighting placement brings out the texture!

love the up lighting which just emphasizes the fantastic texture! This look like a poured in place concrete wall which is what inspired our concrete board form tile. If you want to achieve this look you would have to have a wall poured in place and most likely done at time of construction. Wood forms
