Could you tell me about the sliding door
The sliding door is a standard paint-grade door that we painted and hung on an exposed track (on the other side of the wall). You can see a complete resource list of our house here: http://chezerbey.com/resources/
Are you asking about the wood trim? If so, it's VG Douglas Fir with a clear Satinthane finish. It has definitely turned more orange over the last few years though.

Using the door as a context clue, with standard door height around 6' 8', I'd guess that the ceiling is about 8 feet, making the stripe around 3 feet wide. Wonder how close I got.

We put a little padding around it, upholstered it in a white linen, backed it with a thin plywood and used a cleat to hang it. If I remember correctly I think I had about 6-8 yds of tape trim. I would recommend
recommend that you just measure your own board for the trim by laying the tape where you want to lay the trim.

What is the trim paint color? thanks!
BENJAMIN MOORE 1591-Sterling (Walls); OC-117 Simply White (Trim)
With cool colors. A foolproof way to select a trim color is to take a cue from the color palette in the room. If you are painting your walls a cool color (greens, blues, purples or grays), then find a white that reads as cooler. The easiest way to do this is to put swatches of various white paints next
another and see how they play off one another. Some colors will appear more warm or beige-like; others will read as a very light gray with hints of green, blue or purple.
