How can I get my pine ceiling to look exactly like this one?
have had it on our ceiling for 30 yrs. and it still looks great, just a bit darker, more the color ot the beam you see in the upper right corner of the photo. We also have it in our cabin. A warm, yet modern look, and it keeps the sound from bouncing around so much with the high ceilings.
your modern trappings? No problem! Mix and match the two by keeping typical cabin outfittings sleek and clean. Check out the slick lines of that ceiling and cabinetry. They set off the stainless appliances perfectly without making the space feel too urban.
kitchen placement falls against a wall with a large picture window, you have further justification to demolish some of the upper cabinets and let more light and a bigger view in.More about trading storage space for windows

Can you tell me the manufacturer of the in-ceiling can light fixtures? They are the color and style I'm looking for.
I too would be interested in this information. It appears to be extremely hard to source ceiling extractors in North America, and the reviews on pop-up hood fans seem to be lacklustre. Thanks!

I love the wood on the ceiling. Again, it sets the kitchen apart without any actual barriers or walls.

like overall feel of space...light, color etc
On the other hand, this home boasts beautiful tall ceilings with loads of natural light for a very different effect from the previous photo. To give a wooden ceiling an updated look, you may want to add modern lighting and clean, shiny floors.
