The house and garden display our client’s love of art and sculpture. The open plan style of the house allows our clients to look out into their garden from almost every room. The landscape design needed to have a very modern and sculptural feel. The silver, green and glaucous tones of the plants always work well in a coastal location.

A small space was reimagined for clients on Lake Washington by Landscape Architect Mark S. Garff. In this photo a gabion basket wall holds back the steep slope, creating a flat garden area for viewing. A new horizontal board fence adds privacy and creates an intimate seating area at the water's edge. Photos by Mark S. Garff.
