I'd like to know where the spot light fixtures are from? Is it WAC? Also it looks like there is a darker line/gap between the ceiling drywall next to the beams. Did you use L-beads at the edge of the drywall to achieve
the gap where the beam meets the window? Furthermore is the floor oak or what? I am doing a similar project and would appreciate all the tips. Thanks in advance.

these beams serve the roof above, we ran conduit on the roof ( under the roofing membrane) and then penetrated into the space for the lighting boxes. On the floor below this, we ran the conduit in the mud job along side the radiant tubing.

leave the ceiling open to the beams, adding height.
Architect Stuart Narofsky really enjoys incorporating salvaged lumber into his designs. His use of these reclaimed materials adds warmth to many of his modern designs. And Narofsky likes these materials left exposed, saving on the expense of paint
Narofsky kept the living room ceilings open to give the impression of greater height. Steel beams are capped with reclaimed wood from New York City brownstones. "The rich quality of the wood adds a lot to the space and refers back to the Pacific Northwest look," Narofsky says. The fireplace wall has

Beautiful job! Just bought a house in Carlsbad, Ca with same layout but ugly colors! What treatment is given to the beams? Are the beams stained or painted? I am horrible with colors, so can you provide me with the scheme in the ceilings? Your time and help are appreciated!
Two-toned wood lightens it up and brings attention to the beams and details.
