Most areas in the US allow open front fireplaces. Are you in California or Denver or some other place where open fireplaces are banned? If so, I would recommend instead a direct-vent

of the fireplace is a stone mosaic tile that comes in large sheets, which are applied to the wall.
It's a custom designed and made fireplace.
