Can you tell me who manufactures the media cabinet? The ceiling treatment is inspired. Thanks for sharing!
any issues with sound upstairs/was anything done to deaden sound downstairs since the ceiling is exposed?
Hi, I am in the process of finishing my basement. I love your concept in this picture. I went to home depot to look at 2 x 2 kiln dried wood and its not the true 2x2 wood. The molding along the ceiling in your pictures looks larger than what i've seen at home depot. Is your molding

split-level stairs look clunky and awkward. These appear to float, underscoring the restful lines and serene feel of the space.

what the height of the ceiling is in the kitchen. Thank you
Far too often, I've seen attempts to have high ceilings that only make the room feel boxy instead of open and airy. With the provided ceiling height of 14'6" -- it seems

Does this ceiling treatment (no insulation) cause heating problems on the main level? Does sound travel up?
I have the same type of basement ceiling, but with insulation. I have been told that removing the insulation would increase my heating bill and that sound would travel. Would like to have access
to the ceiling, but don't want to put up an ugly looking metal frame with panels. Any suggestions
The ceilings were sprayed by a professional painter. The noise transmission will be greater between the floors when you removed the plaster from the ceiling. Thanks for inquiring.
Hi. I am renovating a 1940 colonial in the north east. Unfortunately, that era has lower ceilings than I like. On
vaulting the ceilings into the attic space, but on the first floor, I am thinking of making the ceilings as you have done here to make it feel a bit more open. I have a couple of questions, what was the painting method you used and how was the sound from people walking on the upper floor?
