These concrete pavers don't appear to have grout in the joints--are they set on sand rather than mortar? Thanks in advance.
The large stone was set in concrete and then the steps are cut around its base - great craftsmanship from Jergens Construction!

Hello, Did you have to do the typical dig and then put sand down and tamp? I have a small yard and the area immediately off the back steps has a dip to it. This section fills up with water and becomes a mess
How about if we used pebble rock instead of mulch around pavers or slabs stones?

Actually, the mulch around the pavers was intended stictly as a temporary measure until we could get some grass established around the pavers. So, I suppose this could be dog-friendly once the turf is established. I wouldn't do pebbles, as these would be kicked up onto the stones, and

I grated down the area and used a landscape liner. I packed them in sand + crushed granite, Its worked out well.

If you are blessed to have huge slices of wood, they are absolutely perfect for stepping stones. Make sure they are level with the ground to avoid tripping, and nestle them in beds of gravel or plantings of moss for a gorgeous new walkway.

is same architecture and want this look for our pool/patio area. Actually beginning demo next week! Yikes. Chose black glass pool tile and black stones for adjacent water wall but everyone warning me about mineral deposits on the black from the water! What if any problem have you had and what methods
so most things do not stain, we also sanded it down to give it a more matte finish before sealing it so it is not slick when wet. Although on the interior of the house we did not sand it so it has a nice polished finish there. Generally limestone is a softer stone than marble.
