This screening looks quite clear / see-through compared to other screened in porches. Or is that just the picture? What material / mesh size is the screening? We're looking for screen that lets in as much light as possible. Thanks.
How is this porch built, is it secure, I note the absence of a traditional foundation, how would this porch perform in a gale?
Can you give me the size of this porch?
Very nice porch. What type
flexible, but if you go too big the screen is more likely to sag. A large piece of screen is stapled over the framing and then covered with a 3/4" trim piece screwed into the framing. Timber Framed Screened Porch
What is the roofing material of this screened in porch? Thanks
Love this screened porch idea. What are the dimensions? What kind of flooring is used?
Could this be adapted to an all-season room with a wood stove and interchanging screen and glass panels.
This cost about $30,000. Includes materials: reclaimed timber sawn to order, translucent roof panel system, screen system, hardware. Labor of carpenter for erection and screen installation, and a stone mason to set the bluestone floor. It does not include the concrete foundation walls and slab
Thank you for your interest. The porch is built into a slope, so the back is a concrete retaining wall about 4-1/2 ft. high, covered with horizontal mahogany slats. The size is about 13'-6"
