trim as there will be a gap between the window casing the sheetrock.
I'd also be interested in how you achieved this look. I have a '90s townhouse that I am renovating and it has hideous skinny honey oak trim around the windows, but the window casing itself is a lovely high quality wood. I'm wondering
wondering if I can just remove the trim pieces, leave the casing as is, and achieve a similar look. Thoughts?

Questions8
how wide is the trim on the door casing
Door casings are 3/4" wide by 6" (actual 5 1/2")
The baseboard trim is 5/8" x 8" (actual size 7 1/2"). The depth of the baseboard trim should always be a bit narrower than the casings so they can be received by the casings.
What is the profile of the door casings? it looks like it has an outer edge rather than just being a piece of 1x6? Also, is the baseboard a piece of 1x8?
