Need a light coloured wood that isn't too white
That depends on the brown tint and the effect you want to create. I wouldn't choose colors too close to the wood.
Like the idea for the wood storage...
Clean crisp look for storing wood
Around the back. Take the focus off the wood storage entirely by building in an alcove around the back of the fireplace. Here a simple wing wall stores the logs. Design tip: Drywall is very susceptible to damage. Use care when placing your wood inside an alcove like this.

is this engineered hardwood? Also what is the wood? Maple or oak?
What color stain was used on the wood floor?
From previous comments ""The wood floor is Sucupira, a Brazilian hardwood, that has been simply sealed, no stain. Thanks for your interest!"" It looks like a satin finish.

put some decorative pieces to stop the eye from going past the console into the kitchen. There are more built-in type of options that make good two-sided room dividers, but in your case with your limited space I think they would be overwhelming. While a screen has height, it's not thick and bulky. A console

where do you purchase the wood for the siding effect?
What is the white siding material and the brand?
(especially along side natural wood materials - cedar in this case). Thanks for your question!
It's not a hardie color but was pre-finished by a 3rd party company. It is a cool white which was selected to compliment the cedar siding and fir beams.
Hardie panel (rain-screen siding) - pre-finished
The wood siding is tongue and groove clear cedar and can be purchased at most lumber yards
this wood is clear tongue and groove cedar
exterior - Hardie panel (rain-screen siding) - pre-finished (paint) with exposed stainless steel screws
Good form. Great use of texture with Hardie panel and vertical wood siding. Could be an inexpensive modern home if properly designed/detailed.

Can you kindly tell me what the cabinet material wood is?
you please share the silestone color name, if possible. I love the contrast with the wood.
Is that tiger wood? Where did the kitchen come from?

What type of wood is used in the floor of this shower?
what wood was used for the drainage area
so you'd have to find a very specific tile that has a finished edge on the side or at least looks good from the side (many don't). Schluter makes lots of edging that might work too (in lieu of a bullnose or unattractive side of tile).
another posting here that you said that wood had not been treated at the time of the photo. It IS gorgeous, but I have read that it mildews quickly on the underside, becoming slimy. How would you prevent that from happening? What has to be done to keep the wood looking this good and not graying?
Wood Deck is no.1 clear cedar. Yes. the deck is removeable as one whole piece for maintenance. Some additional discussion and information on the topic here: http://www.houzz.com/discussions/235382/Does-the-partial-shower-enclosure-contain :: thirdstone inc.

Thin slats with black wood vertical wall
Do not like this wood color or the vertical pattern.
wood wall -- warms/softens the room
Three inch wood slats with spaces in between defines a cozy corner somewhere.
Use of wood as accent on walls.
wood looks modern - 3 inch slats, with space
Vertical and thin. Create a distinctively modern look with a vertical installation of thin wood slats. I would go with a 3-inch wood strip for this look. I like the idea of having spaces in between the slats to allow for backlighting.
