Manufacturer of the fire pit bowl in the Orinda residence?
What manufacturer produced the fire pit bowl?
what exactly is the patio? A gravel pit? How was this constructed?
Its a custom fire pit feature. We used a planter bowl from Royola Pacific Arts and Crafts and ran gas and a drain line underneath the bowl.

There are a number of options that will work for you. If you google, "fire pit kettle" or "fire pit bowl", lots of options will present themselves. We had a recent customer install a set of our Artistic Metal Logs in a Sugar Kettle -- turned out really nice. See attached picture :-)

I want to place gas fire pit below trees in my backyard. Any risk to trees like this one secondary to the heat from a gas fire pit?
Each fire pit will have its own clearances to structures however, trees are usually not a concern as the heat dissipates as it rises.

raised fire pit, built into beds, awesome!
What size do I need? The size of your fire pit is something to consider based on your intended use and guests. A small one won’t give off enough heat for more than a few people yet a design that’s too large could deter conversation because people will have to raise their voice to speak across it.

landscaping ! One thing that is becoming very popular in Colorado are Artistic Iron Logs. They extend the fire pit season to be year round due to the heat they release. They also give a patio a ski-resort look. In this case, it will only make this patio slightly nicer because of the great foliage surrounding

Create your own camp experience. A built-in fire pit is the perfect gathering space for late-night chats, family campouts and post-dinner-party drinks. For a more rustic look, chop your own old logs into DIY seats and set them up in a ring around the fire pit in a remote corner of your yard. Of course

Does anyone know of a good source for fire pit rocks or glass instead of using fake logs? I've seen this look before used in a gas fire pit & it was really cool, but not sure where to find these rocks or glass rocks.
