Yes, this fire feature was custom made for this residence. I would suggest that you take this image to your local source for fire place design and accessories. They should be able to help you to design a similar feature. Or, you could ask your contractor. Most contractors have a source for fire features

The fire pit was the final backyard project. The couple had intended to purchase a self-contained fire pit but realized there weren’t many that fit the look and price they wanted. So they had a board-formed concrete pit poured and topped it with ⅜-inch-thick cold-rolled steel.Fireplace cap: prepared

Sit by the fire. This is another no brainer-especially for cool nights. Even if you haven't managed to move your soirée from the living room to the patio as quickly as you would have liked, as soon as the outdoor fire pit is lit, everyone will congregate. Make sure there is plenty of comfortable seating
seating as most people will want to stop and enjoy the fire for as long as possible.

What type of stone is best for the "cap" stone around fire pit?
brick, poured concrete? - how big is it and what type of look do do you want - formal, rustic, etc? - how close will the fire be to the stone? The big thing is how close will the fire be to the stone and how hot will the stone get? Couple of homework questions!
a moonlit shore. Why not embrace a bit of that spirit in your backyard too? Whether you live in the city or country, whether your yard is small or large, finding a way to enjoy your outdoor space after the sun goes down is worth the effort.

Create your own camp experience. A built-in fire pit is the perfect gathering space for late-night chats, family campouts and post-dinner-party drinks. For a more rustic look, chop your own old logs into DIY seats and set them up in a ring around the fire pit in a remote corner of your yard. Of course
