A fan with a light serves two functions on a porch. There's a fan for every style. This one recalls barn lights and thus is an appropriate choice for a farmhouse.

What brand of fan is in this picture?
That's the Emerson 60" Heat Fan. They're for commercial applications and must be mounted higher than 10 feet (3m) above the floor for safety. Emerson have recently made a version of home use called the Loft. http://www.emersonfans.com/Pages/Fan.aspx?Fan=Loft
Emerson Electric CF765 60-Inch Loft Ceiling Fan, $249
A ceiling fan I don't hate! Love the chairs too.
Go commercial. This fan looks like something you might see in a commercial space, with its long air-foil blades and minimal base. It is meant for residential homes but also works in damp locations with a covered roof, like a patio, a porch or a deck.
