The Hampton Garden
this looks like 2x8 boards for a 16" height, correct? 4x4 support on the outside with a 1x6 around the top, correct? Do you put the gravel under the planter bed for
lumber setting on the gravel or dirt? Is there gravel under the dirt? Did you put newspaper at the bottom or screen?
raised beds, looks like about 3 feet. Like Rob said, make the paths big enough for your equipment, whatever that is.
grass is full of dandelions and thistle. I have gravel but I am going to get rid of it. I can't compete with all the weeds that grow in it. Maybe the size of the gravel helps?
raised bed like this... but on grass instead of concrete? Wouldn't that be nice.

Raised Bed Vegetable Garden
Raised beds were built and filled with organic soil and leaf mold. This garden provides the family with spring through late fall vegetables including lettuces, tomatoes, beets, peas, eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, and a ton of basil and other herbs! Please visit the website for more photos of this project
raised bed garden shown here. I have googled the life out of it and cannot find them. Thank you, Jill
What is better for a vegetable garden, full sun or partial?
can be full sun do not survive. I just want to make sure I do it right. Thanks
you can set plants closer together to prevent sun scald on fruits.
It really depends on what you are growing. This is a zone 5b garden. The front half of the garden gets about 8 hours of full sun. The back half gets about 5 hours of full sun.

Rise and shine! Time to make your flower bed.
I love the use of the old bed
flowering bed in her yard? It's so feminine and pretty and, yes, very, very fancy.
Wouldn't you love to meet the person who woke up one morning and said, "Today, I think I'll go make myself a flower bed?" I don't even have to meet them to know I'd like them...very much. :-)
"flower bed" doesn't it? Whimsy can sometimes be hard to define, but if you're like me, you know it when you see it. This is what whimsy on steroids looks like...and I LOVE it!
This arrangement brings new meaning to the term "flower bed." OK, it's a little punny, but it is pretty (and you could hang
garden bed (in all senses of the phrase).Design tip: Although this appears casual, you will need to plan ahead to keep this look going. Beneath the mass of flowers is a solid, soil-filled enclosure between the posts of the bedframe. You'll also need to water consistently to keep the bed in bloom.

raised bed garden. The fence is only 4' tall but what keeps the deer out is they pick up all their dog poop around the inside fenced area and place it around the perimeter fence line. The deer smell the poop and know there are dogs inside the fence. They haven't lost one vegetable to deer.
A nice alternative to raised garden beds.
I like these beds dropped down
This is kinda scary wicked clean, but I like the beds even with the soil line because my raised beds dry out so quickly and I like the fence.

Walkways are clear, no grass to encroach into walkway. Easy to weed, seeing as the plants are in a raised bed. Very nice raised beds, and not just for short plants. Peaceful.

stage is set, the story begins to unfold; the journey begins in the form of the garden path. The traveler places emphasis on this part of the garden as he or she finds delight in the journey. These paths will seldom be straight. Sometimes the most memorable trips involve layovers rather than direct flights
