I am opening a wellness studio and have been so puzzled on what to do for flooring. I have titles in the area which is so cold! I don't want to replace with wood (already using bamboo on yoga room) because of cost. So I bumped into this and love it! I found tatame mats sold in 3x3
3x3 or kits. My room is 12x17 so I would have a couple of feet without mats. These look nicer and longer! Where did you purchase them? Thanks!
www.chopa.com has the Tatami mats you seek. Good products, authentic.
would there be a place to put tatami mats on the floor by a shoji door ?
Ardeshir was mentioning that he wants to have an area where he just walks barefoot. Adding some tatamie mats, bamboo floor, etc. keep this in mind. He expressed that that is very important

when steep slopes necessitate help from an erosion control mat or roll to jump-start the vegetation building process. Mats and rolls for erosion control are most often used on rocky soils and areas with steep slopes. An erosion control mat is a loosely woven textile made of jute, straw or another b
biodegradable fiber that is laid on top of the soil and secured in place with landscape stakes. The mat holds the soil in place while the young plants become established. Erosion control rolls are made of biodegradable materials that have been formed together into a long fiber sausage, about 8 inches
inches in diameter, and staked to the ground along a slope. Over time the plant roots grow and hold the soil in place as the mat or roll breaks down into the soil.

We are researching the bamboo matting which we saw on patios in Europe. Do you have one mat or did you need to weave multiple mats together? Also, have you found the need to secure the matting down (does it blow off easily)?
