This is one of the most fun-looking outdoor rooms I've seen. Instead of decking or paving stones, there is grass, which feels great on bare feet and is inviting to the canine family members. Two swings are suspended from the roof beam. I hope the kids aren't the only ones who get to use those. And I

how do i know how deep to put the stones & how far do i seperate for the grass
Hi, The stones are not rough because they are "filled" and honed. They were not poured in place, but purchased as local pavers. Hope that helps.
Do you know what actually got planted? It looks like a moss not a grass. We pretty much have the same stone laid right now, and trying to decide what to put in between. We did 3" spacing by the way.
J: I selected this for the paving stones embedded in the grass.
The layers, cleanliness and use of space, mixed in with earth, water, stone, air and light.

Nice Sett detail in gravel paving
the stone pavers placed inside the crushed stone pathway
Steeped in tradition. A path that combines gravel with paving stones creates a European-inspired look that makes a wander through the garden that bit more interesting. I love how the paving diamonds grow and shrink in size to give the pathway a sense of movement and perspective

your garden can also help you decide on a budget. Try to spend money on materials that are highly visible and need to be of good quality — patio paving, stone walkways, furniture, etc. Offset these costs by saving in other areas — such as cutting out on sprinkler systems (if possible), or scrounging up
Relaxation was clearly what the owner of this garden had in mind. A paved patio for outdoor entertaining, vine-covered fences for privacy, and a lush and natural looking water feature all make the most of this space and come
