hard wood floors oil vs water based
I am refinishing heart pine floors in my living room and kitchen and can't decide if I should go with oil or water base poly. I have three young children and am concerned about the toxic fumes. We can leave the house for about five days. Any advice? I like the durability

as the floor is a little burry so it could be loose tile. It would be really easy to get this look with pebble tile though. I would use our 'polished tiger' to get this look: http://www.pebbletileshop.com/products/Polished-Tiger-Pebble-Tile.html

First floor almost see through while second provides privacy and also cover for exterior. Multiple materials.

replace the flooring in a 101-year-old lake cottage, screened porch that is 40' wide. The original Douglas Fir finally gave up after all those summer storms & MN winters. Good product.
