These small hedges are Dwarf English Boxwood, Buxus sempervirens suffruticosa and are hardy to zone 5. We are zone 6 where this garden is in central NJ. My guess is that part of Canada is probably a cold hardiness zone of 3-4.and I don't believe there are any boxwood varieties that would survive a
