Really like the plants spilling over stone wall. We have a lot of stone walls in our backyard and it gives me inspiration how to landscape
Vines may be planted within rock crevices in wall facades or along the top and allowed to cascade downward. Vines to consider include ornamental raspberry (Rubus calycinoides), creeping Jenny (Lysimachia
cliffs and feature walls and other features made from local stone. You can give your garden a sense of place and reduce its carbon footprint by sourcing materials locally.

I live in Canada (very cold temperatures in winter) and am attempting at creating a similar water feature to surround the stone patio. I want that look of a patio floating in water. I originally thought to create the water rill/pool using concrete, but aside from the fact that
love the stone.. can you share where it's from?
It is one pool with a stone "bridge". It is approximately 6-ft wide.
Using stone can hide many frost upheavals by allowing the cracking to occur at the mortar joints. But, and this is a big deal, nothing will replace an adequate subsurface structure
which, should it move, will move as one piece. We are very fortunate in our area to be able to avoid many of these technical details. Perhaps a local stone yard will have resources for your use.

My husband and I are currently considering purchasing a stone house. The current owners indicate no central air is needed because the house stays cooler in the summer and warmer in winter than wood structures. (Location is on the Connecticut shore). Has this been true
Tell me the name of the stone and if available on E Coast
Looks like a PA fieldstone. Eldorado Stone makes a Padova Fieldstone or Orchard Cypress Ridge that looks close. Amazing home
Sent you an email with another stone I found on your website.
Our 140 year old stone house does stay much cooler. But once humidity gets inside it seems to hold it in much more. We do have central air and used it maybe 3 weeks this summer...in Western

What is the outside stone facade? It is perfect.
These look great - are these pillars on concrete footings or is is stone veneer over built out wood posts? Thanks.
The outside stone facade is Torino Stackledge cultured stone with limestone caps/tops.

The firm is responsible for custom home design for a number of homes in the prestigious country club community of Caves Valley. Designed as the fi rst and only speculative home to be built at the Caves Valley Golf Course Community, this custom stone house utilizes old world materials and craftsmanship
hip inside and out. Although the house has a large footprint, the design creates the illusion of an old manor home that has been added to over the years. Although the site was extremely narrow and had a signifi cant slope, the design of the footprint and surrounding landscape minimizes these conditions
Can you tell me the exact stone used on this house? Thank you
Do you have other photos for this house's facade? I'd love to see them and possibly have the architect design our facade. I have a house plan for the interior but am still working on the exterior. Thanks!
